Oil & gas lubrication applications

Oil & Gas Lubrication Systems

ATS automatic lubrication systems can be used in a staggeringly wide array of oil & gas applications.

Onshore, offshore, upstream, downstream, refining or transport, we have a lubricator to streamline your operations.

Lubricating oil & gas industry equipment

The oil and gas industry is very diverse, using a huge range of equipment and machinery, so there is no ‘one for all’ approach. Often, the correct lubrication system for an application includes a variety of factors, including temperature, water ingress, lubricant flow rates to name just a few.

Offshore oil & gas lubrication systems

To simplify things, we’ll split it into onshore and offshore processes. For oil & gas vessel lubrication check out our marine lubrication section.

On top of the problems of onshore oil and gas, offshore operations pose other challenges as well. A major issue with offshore maintenance is the huge costs involved. To cut costs in the offshore sector it is important to implement a very efficient maintenance strategy.

Just one hour saved in offshore maintenance can cut costs by thousands of euros. With this in mind, ATS lubrication systems are intentionally as simple to install, replace, and operate as possible.

The Titan series were designed for these situations. They can be filled using an external grease cartridge, feeds up to 12 lubrication points from a single unit, and dispenses for up to 24 months. Therefore refilling this unit is incredibly time-efficient, offering considerable cost savings.

Offshore maintenance equipment must also be durable, waterproof, and corrosion resistant. Our oil & gas industry lubricators possess all these qualities, and can be mounted up to 10m away from lubrication points. This allows time-efficient servicing of inaccessible lube points from safe working height.

Our single point lubricators are waterproof, operate down to -40°C, and are ATEX certified for hazardous environments. They offer a compact maintenance solution for any moving machinery, and our multi point lubricators offer an economical alternative to centralised lubrication systems.

Onshore oil and gas often operates in remote areas. An hour of down time in this industry can be hugely expensive, and repair costs are astronomical for some machinery components.

These factors make it essential that a reliable lubrication system is employed. Using the correct maintenance program, with the correct lubricant and lubrication equipment can potentially save millions in lost revenue every year.

Reliability of machinery is key, and therefore so is the effectiveness of the maintenance programme employed. Keeping components running at optimal performance lowers operating costs and extends the life of expensive machinery components. It also helps to eradicate catastrophic failure, which results in spiralling losses of revenue as well as severe safety risks.

Oil & Gas lubrication solutions

ATS Electro-Lube’s lubrication solutions have been used in the oil and gas industry for 35 years. They offer the most reliable solution to lubrication available, and are therefore widely used in industries where productivity and uptime are essential.

Our lubricators are not only the most reliable, but the most durable on the market, and unquestionably perform better than any other even in extreme conditions often associated with the oil and gas industry.
